Harnessing the Power of Patient Reported Outcomes: Integrating Digital Health Functionality in Ambulatory Oncology
In 2022, Cancer Care Alberta (CCA) transitioned to a new clinical information system (CIS) which facilitated the design, development, build, and implementation of a fully digital process for the collection of electronic patient reported outcomes (ePROs) in the new system. This presentation will share CCA's work in around implementing ePROs in the CIS, sharing key learnings and strategies that supported this digital health initiative.

Speaker:
April Wales has spent most of her 17 years as an RN in oncology, spanning across inpatient and outpatient settings and across the provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta. Currently, April works as a Senior Change Management Consultant on the Applied Research and Patient Experience team within CCA, leading and supporting projects aimed at improving person centered care. April is currently working through the Master of Health Studies program at Athabasca University, with a focus on leadership.
